Traffic Nightmare on State Road A1A

The Ponte Vedra Beach Citizens Traffic Task Force opposes the addition of lights to Cornerstone Park. Why? Increased traffic-related hazards on State Road A1A at nighttime. Many more vehicles will pull out of the Park onto A1A into a 55 MPH SPEED ZONE, especially when games and events at The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall are held simultaneously.

But it’s worse than that. The PVAA promises its sponsors it will bring 5,000 visitors to Cornerstone Park and Davis Park on weekends almost year round. We do not need or want this potential traffic nightmare along Mickler Road near the beach and on A1A.
