Palm Valley District Overlay

To state the obvious, there is nothing about adding stadium lights to Cornerstone Park that harmonizes with the Palm Valley District Overlay requirements  – by day or night. With the lights and noise, any sense of harmony is shattered at night.

The Parks and Recreation Department defines Cornerstone Park as a Community Park – meaning no lights. The application to upgrade with stadium lights fails to recognize Cornerstone Park’s design flaws will be intensified if lights are added.

Let’s work together and focus on building the kind of athletic fields our children deserve. Nocatee Park is a 48-acre Regional Park ready to be developed now. Investing in building Nocatee Park is the smartest decision and investment we can make.
